Salam to all my stitching sisters and my dearest cyberfriends...(Masih adakah yg mengingati diriku???)I'm sorry for hibernating so long . looks like its the thing I like to do best nowadays...

It has been more than 5 months since my last entry...whatever has happened to me?. Seems like I have totally lost my mood to post anything in this blog or the other one. I was wondering myself,where has my mood gone to? Its obvious that I didnt do any craft related thingy for the whole of this year, therefore nothing to story about, right? I do read all my friend blogs but dont have the heart to make any comment. Yang pasti, setiap kali membaca perkembangan terkini kawan2..saya rasa terharu..You gals keep on doing what you love doing. I'm picking up my pieces starting on tonight. It may be a slow pace for me but who knows I might be back to my old turbo pace...wish me luck heh...

Ada yg email bertanya, ke mana saya menghilang atau apa perkembangan terkini saya...yang boleh saya katakan..I'm not doing any craft project,infact I'm not doing anything at all.Makan ,tidur, makan ,tidur,menung..itu aje.. Mana2 projek yg WIP tu masih lagi bertaraf WIP, may it be the crochet, beadstitch or even my bullion roses. Malah En Suami pun bertanya kenapa saya 'satu apapun tak buat"..hehehe.

Semua pincushion yg saya buat dulu dah 'bertempiaran lari', bakul saya kosong semula. Idea nak buat yang baru pun dah tandus. Semasa bulan puasa, sibuk tolong biras buat bisnes dia..eh silap bukan sibuk tapi buat2 sibuk..takde mende yg grand pun. hajat nak belajar dan menjadi 'pesaing' bisnes tudung Kak Da pun hanya menjadi hangat2 tahi ayam..sudahnya, tudung raya beli saja di Jalan TAR selepas raya masa balik raya ke KL hari tu. Baca betul2 ya..disebut..beli tudung selepas raya..ahaksss

Sekarang ni sibuk skodeng blog decoupage. Itu satu tanda tu dah timbul balik minat sikit tapi rasa macam kena hibernate pulak sekali lagi..maklumlah kan..mengumpul maklumat utk decoupage..I think lepas ni kena soal selidik Salmi banyak sikit pasal nak cari material decoupage..boleh kan Salmi??

Probably next year kot baru timbul balik...muahahaha. Boleh kah itu macam???

Until then, maaf saya pinta kepada semua rakan2 yg tak jemu2 singgah di shoutbox saya.Walaupun tak berblog but I do read your blogs when time permits. Terharu sungguh makcik.Kagum membca blog Salmi dan Kak Reen, They are making beautiful progress on other craft..Jeles ahkak.. Insyaallah, I'll be back to blogging when I have my courage back. Sukar juga utk menceritakan pasal hobi/fakta diri sendiri..but I will try..Kalau ada ayat2 yg ala2 over tu..layan jer lah ye..kasi chan maa..ngeh ngeh ngeh..

1.Saya seorang suri rumah tangga all the time. Merupakan ibu kepada seorang anak lelaki remaja..Pernah bekerja tetapi mengambil keputusan utk berhenti kerja secara 'voluntary' pada masa krisis ekonomi 1999. Bercita2 utk jadi ibu mithali dan isteri dedikasi tetapi nampaknya none of the two things di buat sebab lebih syok melayan hobi sendiri..ha ha ha

2.Masa kecil, remaja dan belia, tidak pernah berminat melayan craft ni. Satu2 nya craft yang dilayan hanyalah Cross Stitch. Malah semasa di Uni pun curi2 buat cross stitch bila ada masa terluang. Craft2 lain - bolayan.

3. Masa cuti semestar dulu2 pernah juga..dengan azam dan semangat kental, beli 2 helai kain pasang utk belajar jahit baju kurung sendiri dengan ibunda. Puas sudah ibunda mengexplain bagaimana kain2 dipotong dan dijahit..tapi masih blurr tak paham2. Kesudahannya. baju tu ibunda yang jahitkan dan anaknya melaram tak hengat masa ke kuliah next semestar. Cita2 dan azam entah kemana..lepas tu tak pernah lagi tanam angan2 nak jahit baju sendiri. Buat cross stitch lebih baik..

4.Bila dah berkeluarga, satu craftpun tak buat malah satu hobi pun tak ada. Tanam pokok dalam pasu pun ala2 nyawa ikan. Masa banyak dihabiskan dengan bekerja..bekerja bekerja sampai jemu..

5. Mula terjebak semula dengan craft bila sudah berhenti kerja. Suddenly banyak pula masa terluang, tak tahu nak buat apa..pegang balik cross stitch tapi kali ni tak menggunakan benang tapi menggunakan manik. Sempat jugak ler gila bead stitch utk setahun dua. Lepas tu..peristiwa lama berulang kembali..azam makin padam..hikhikhik.

6.Zaman internet tngh rancak..kitapun giler juga melayari laman-laman sesawang ( cewah..bahasa).Jumpa pulak satu forum (CARI.com) sibuk ler pulak makcik ni berforum. Sangkut pun pada 2 board saja - masak-masak dan craft. This is where it started.

7. Dalam kesibukan beramah mesra dengan teman-teman internet...mula timbul keakraban dengan mereka. Di sidebar dlam my blog tu (XstichnXchange)persahabatan erat dan mesra terjalin. They have been my dear friends until now. Kami sering bertukar2 hasil kraft dan juga stash craft, saling bertukar pendapat dan sumber rujukan. Their works are all outstanding.Malu pulak dngn kebolehan diri sendiri..tapi tidak mengapa..di sini kita belajar dan saling mengajar..(Ini yg sgt2 bernilai)

8.Selama ini I always under estimate myself..rupanya banyak benda2 craft yg saya boleh buat kalau saya mahu mencuba. If and only I want to try. Bila sudah mencuba baru kita tahu bahawa kita ni tidaklah seteruk mana dalam hal2 cfart ni..hehehee. Malah sumber internet memang sangat2 membantu ..nak belajar apa...google saja..pasti kita akan jumpa..video ke tutorial ke..anything..

9.Dari forum dan kawan2 internet, saya belajar bahawa cross stitch bukan setakat jahit dan kemudian framekan hasil itu. Kita boleh buat byk benda yg menjadi kegunaan harian kita. Masalahnya cuma..bila dah buat2 cantik2 tu, sayang pulak nak guna. Yang penting..will power kena kuat utk melawan perkataan tak mahu guna tu. Until now, saya masih menyimpan berkotak2 pemberian kawan2 dan masih lagi tidak sanggup menggunakannya. I get emotional and sentimental setiap kali berhajat nak guna...(pstt..even wrapping paper pun kusimpan jua..ngeh ngeh ngeh..(kes berat ni!!).

10. Setakat ini, hasil persahabatan dgn member2 secraft ni, saya sudah belajar crochet, jahit manik di baju dan hand emroidery. Walaupun kecil jumlahnya tapi sangat berbaloi. Yang paling menarik, saya tidak belajar one to one..semuanya melalui internet terutamaya You Tube.Sekarang bibit2 nak belajar jahit baju sendiri dah timbul balik...harap2 tak kantoi lagi.

Itu saja...yang jelas..makin tua makin lembut tangan ni nak cuba macam2..Kalaulah masa muda2 dulu saya dah berani cuba macam2..tak tahulah apa akan jadi pada saya..sama ada semakin menyinar atau tenggelam dgn timbunan2 craft yg 'sayang' nak guna tu..

Kawan2 stitching saya(you know who you are kan)..I'm glad I know you..Dont worry, saya tak panjangkan tag ni kepada sesiapapun. Tag lah diri anda sendiri utk bercerita perihal kecintaan anda kepada keraftangan...kuang kuang kuang... Cumanya. I wish we will remain best buddies forever..Amin.

Lazy Daisy Stitch

Nothing to do since I've finished my tudung bawal. Spend some time doing these Lazy daisy stitch on felt scraps last weekend.. Made into another pincushion....Yes..I have no fresh ideas..keep on repeating the old one. As of these entry, left only one bullion roses pincushion in my care. The rest has gone into thin air. (Including this one)

This pincushion is(was) my latest craze. Trying to think out of the box, I tried lazy daisy stitch..It's quite easy and enjoyable. The best part is, I no longer have the hate for french knot...Used to hate french knot on my cross stitch before, always opting for the easy way out-using beads instead.


Now, am searching for more ideas to make more pincushion..called me a pincushion freak...Its a very handy express gift for any emergency occasion..yay!!

Paper Basket Of Pincushions.

The outcome of my rolled old newspaper tube...has been made to accomodate my collection of pincushions.Just need a fresh make over of varnish eh..







Looks like I have to make a new batch of bullion roses pincushion as it is getting lesser by the day. ( Noticed the round blue pincushion has gone missing?).

Pincushion Madness Part 2

I made 2 pincushion from (I supposed to throw away) felt scraps. I admit that its time consuming to make this but as I am in no mood to do anything else, I guess it paid off - a stress therapy that I don't have to pay for..

The pincushions are actually to make up for the loss of some item in my 'basket of small'.Relatives who visit tends to 'visit' my basket too and consider things taken as souvenir ...ha ha ha. Well, the good side of me only wants to smile . Then I have an excuse to make another.... and another..

Pincushion madness

Yes...I'm still in the bullion roses mood. Made several pincushion with bullion roses motifs over the weekend.. Dont laugh please, I just cant get enough of it. I know I'm suppose to finish the tudung bawal but I just cant help myself.

When cleaning out my stash box. found few felt pieces that should be thrown away but the good side of me want to do some thing with it..so there it is. There's another 2 pincushion that is waiting for the final touch up...I'll upload the pics later.

For now, lets just look at the pincushion..(hehehe..tak cantik mana pun tapi saja nak tunjuk jugak...sabor jer la ek)....On second thought..is it stingy or creativity?LOL.

Bullion Roses on Tudung Bawal

I have started my project on tudung bawal hand embroidery..Lets have a sneak priview . Only started with the hem as I dont have any idea yet of the main pattern...letih dah hantuk kepala ni..Happy that this time I manage to 'control' my roses petals..'wink'

Zigouigoui

Holla...

I have been keeping the intention to make a zigouigoui ever since I saw a blog owner ( Its a friend of Musliha but I cant remember who ) who take part in a zigouigoui exchange project. All the zigouigoui was gorgeous . Suddenly I was inspired..he he he. Musliha did gave me the tutorial link.


I manage to make a small one even though it took quite a long time to accomplish. The pattern was an idea of mine ( a 'campak-campak' one- one might say). But hey...with added embelishment like the beads and ribbon..the dull zigouigoui look attractive..yes? Ha ha ha




Yes...it will be added to my collection of smalls..

Practising my hand on embroidery

FYI, I have finished my hand embroidery on my hijab( tudung bawal)...without the diamond..hehehe. Before I start on another new hijab, Have to practice 'lembutkan tangan' first. Spend lots of time blog hopping and reading, now I think I'm ready to start. Lets look at what I have practiced.

Thank you to Sulam Sayang blog owner ( Norazihan) for letting me to learn, Gee and Salmi for the inspiration. Most credit should go to my friend Marzila who introduced me to bullion stitch on tudung (hands on) in the first place. As I'm writing, I have already started on the new tudung..

Excited.....first..I like my choice of colors . Second...can I finish it in style?...let it be known in the next entry...All the best heh!!

Our neighbour's cat Oyen and Etot has decided to move over to our place ..without prior notice..mind you! together with the babies....haiyaaa..


The Mommy was never friendly before - to us or to the cats. Since we start giving them with our cats food...their life was never the same again. Etot ( the mom with the short tail) usually beranak kat rumah sebelah...This time , decided to bring along the kitten and park at our porch.

DH and me sudah garu kepala..what are we going to do with them? Giving them food is no problem. But...permanent resident??? whoa....that is a big no-no...

So..there goes the story of Oyen, Etot, Tata, Titi and Tutu...Oh yes..there is another cat that we call Anjang with the babies(orange like the dad too)....meriah sudah !! Oyen is a casanova heh..babies everywhere....

Update on my cochet - table cloth

I started this last year... on Maal Hijrah I think. It stop at the 6th row. Exactly on Maal Hijrah this year I continue this again. Now..I can say it is 50 percent progressing. Have used 8 roll of crochet yarn ( Minlon Polly #273) - 187 pieces. Now it is a standstill project as I have run out of yarn. Cant find the yarn here..Who ever( in the family) is traveling out station..will have to run the errand of buying the yarn for me...latest "victim" was my dear SIL (CikYa) when she balik kampung during CNY..

I wish to finish this before Aidil Fitri this year and that means I need to be on turbo gear....May all the luck be with me..Amin!

A basket from old newspaper

Hello...

Exactly a month since I last updated my blog. Accidently picking the Valentine Day to update heh. I was totally in no mood to blog since my camera is 'away' and the laziness syndrome is still around. There were few so called WIP that kept me occupied but that was it. I guess 2009 is a year to enjoy the laziness syndrome....

Since I didnt know where to send my suratkhabar lama ( kat sini mcm tak de je org beli suratkhabar lama..hikhikhik)..I have to think of something useful to do with it. Hence ..come the idea of making a basket from the newspaper tube....My mom will be shock if she know about my latest interest..(psstt..I was never the crafty kid since day one ok!)

Dont laugh at the photo..please. I self taught myself on how to achieve this. Eveything came from the internet except the weaving process. I have a guru for it. Thank you Nurul...you are such a dear..



This is my first try and it remained like this as of now..hahaha.I planned to make a bigger basket as I have rolled quite a number of paper tube. It has cost me back ache and heart ache.Orang tua kan...letih menggulung ni..kena rehat lama sikit......I guess it has to wait as I was into hand embroidery lately. I'll update about my new craze in my next entry... soon.

2009

Salam to all my blogging friends. For the year 2009 I have decided not to do serious cross stitching. I have lost the mood, probably due to the fact that its not as easy to get my xs material here. At times when I urgently need the floss for stitching,the local shop here doesnt have it. I am at loose end as there arent any shop that I know off that supply the same brand . I have to get help from my ever williing stitching friends to post for me. Along the line, my mood has gone by the time the floss reached me.

But..on the brighter side, I'm learning other hobbies. For instance ,I'm fascinated with hand embroidery. and my first 'victim' is hand sewn my own tudung. Popularly known as Tudung bawal sulam tangan. Seeing Gee with her bullion all the time..has poke the bullion itchiness in me..ekekeke

Initially, I first learn to sulam tangan my tudung bawal in early 2008. But I didnt like it as it's quite tedius especially finishing the hem. Rasa macam nak terkeluar biji mata.

( As you can see at the photo below..there are many more to improve. lama juga masa nak buat sebab mood tu macam biskut. kalau rasa macam biji mata dah tak larat nak jegil, me stop..Tau sajalah bila dah stop..nak jumpstart tu macam berzaman...)



FYI, this tudung remain like this until now. Havent had the urge to sew any other embelishment on it. My friends and inlaws has been nagging at me to glue the 'diamond' on the tudung to make it more decent .but I am not taken with all their comment..hehehe. Seems like my vitamin M is taking control over everything.

Aha..to brighten up the dull story, I have another 2 pieces of tudung waiting to be hand embroidered. Infact..some people are anxiously waiting to know as of when I'm going to start the ball rolling ...wait for the story in the next entry..ok? I am still taking my sweet time to sit back and relax.....Vitamin M still aplenty!!
