Kesimpulannya..pengalaman yg menyeronokkan membuat pinkeep ini. Terutamanya masa nak cucuk2 peniti tu..Rasa macam nk buat satu lagi utk diri sendiri..nantikan..

The XsNxc Exchange activity for the month of July is oriental theme bookmark. Well.. since I dont have much of a collection of oriental cross stitch charts, I have to make do with Joan Elliot chart from the book 'Sentiment and Sayings'.(Actually zero oriental charts is the correct phrase, but I dont want to sound so pathetic..LOL)

Stitching it is alright, the finishing is not alright though. Since laces and ribbons has never been my cup of tea...one could guess the hard time I have endure to stitch those. Therefore..the bookmark for my partner Salmi aka Ibu Sara is as simple as it could get..hehehe. That is why ...it is called Jangan Pandang Belakang...its 'pretty' scarry..LOL




But..since it is stitched with blue lace..I guess everything is forgiven then..

And accompanying the blue bookmark is the family of 'gegirl - pink' (pincushion and needle book) and 'boboy- blue' (Scissors fob and book mark). Oriental is such a difficult theme to carry as the colors seldom match your liking and the sizes too. All the pattern came from the same JE book except the scissors fob..it was a design by Sue Page (a freebie from cross stitching.com) Hopefully Salmi dont mind with the 'sana sikit sini sikit' pattern eh..LOL

Since it is the last exchange activity until after Hari Raya..I will be resting from stitching "the family". and probably resting from stitching too. The mood has gone for vacation..LOL.

My BookMark Exchange (BME) Arrived...Yeeehaaa!!

The red card from the post office arrived on Monday. It havent occured to me that it is from my partner from The Xsnxc BookMark Exchange since everybody was saying that they have just posted theirs. It couldnt have reached me so soon. But..yeapp..Pos Malaysia really surprised people sometimes..this time they really are 'cemerlang'.

Ok..lets look at the cronology of the opening ceremony and the screening ceremony..(LOL..I'm watching too many lawyers and CSI drama)

My surprise partner is Dania ( the mommy of Bebe D ). And I was really surprise to receive the bookmark from her. I loved everything there is..the pattern, the buttons , the fabric and definitely the pink box...(handmade by her of course). My crochet kit is not homeless anymore.

XsNXc Cube Exchange June 2007

The Exchange was completed end of June 2007. I would like to appologize to my partner Mas Ayu frm Melaka as I did not post anything in here regarding the cube I made for her. I totally forgot to snap any pic as I was rushing to send it as my darling Mr Postman will be out station during that time. Maaf ye Mas..bukan akak sengajakan..memang betul2 lupa.
so..strawberry indeed grows in Malacca eh?

Jiji On the Cube..

Today..I received the box frm my suprise partner in the XSNXC Cube Exchange. Wallah...what a bundle of joy..LOL.Once opened..I saw Jiji wearing a nice bow in there and automatically a smile was formed..It's totally cute..Who could have guess that Kak Ros will stitch a black cat on the cube..plus a sunflower on it too..It really make my dull day.. ..Well, I'm still grinning from ear to ear..I bet Jiji is proud too..LOL

Not to forget..along with it was sunflower button and a tottaly cute cat button with the word MEOW..and 2 skein of DMC Variations..

Thank you Kak Ros..the whole family is impressed with Jiji wearing a bow. Now..we dont have to dress him up anymore..LOL

Sunshine the Sunflower Family

I was so hooked with sunflower, I did not realize that I have stitched quite a number of sunflower related item for the MDSE..hehehe..just cant resist myself..Since Sis Noreen has received the gift, its only appropriate of me to publish the picture and the story behind the making...hahaha















The Needlebook..The pattern was originally frm a cross stitcher magazine that I asked frm Lindt to pass to me.(thank you Lindt..the pattern was addicting..hehehe). I just take the upper portion of the pattern and stitch is as a needlebook..with a little bit of add on...
Tak susah sangat sebenarnya nak stitch buku ini sebab ini sudah masuk yg ke5...chewahh tapi masih menggigil2 lagi bab nak mencantumkan felt..kerastangan maa!!




















Again..adapting frm the same pattern...stitching only the blooming flower as a scissor fobs pattern .
Pertama kali dlm sejarah, I'm using cording yg keras tu utk di jahit sekeliling fob. Maaf ye Kak Reen, percubaab pertama tu tak begitu da bomb...dan bow merah tu sebenarnya utk menutup kecomotan hasil kerja..hehehe..tu pasal tone kalers tu lari..tetiba jer..terletak bow merah...But then...it add colors to the dull fob..ngeh ngeh ngeh..















Mothers Day Pillow for Sis Noreen. That is the best I can do with ribbons..hehehe..dare not to chalenge myself more.. And to tell the truth..I'm taking long time to stitch cording all around...Kengkonon nak surprisekan myself..to see whether I really can do it..but then I'm actually surprised..lama betul masa yg diambil nak jahit kording tu..dr duduk tegak, sampai mengiring dan akhirnya baring terlentang..kording tu still lambat nk complete..Moral of the story.. I will not stitch any more of this style..period.!!


















The Cubegalatte. Using the coasters design,again frm the same pattern and frm the same magazine. this is a tedious job for me as I find it boring to stitch 5 sides of the same pattern....but after seeing the end result..only admiration arises..Will stitch another cube for my self soon...exactly like this...wink-wink .
Actually I stitched this way ahead..Initially was meant for myself..but since the theme for my gifts to Sis Reen is sunflowers..why not give it altogether..nanti tak cukup item pulak for all my sedara mara to uuuuu aaaahhhh uuuu aaahhh..Hahahaaha..gurau jer ye kengkawan..

Lastly..while browsing the freebies pattern. found this sunflower fit for a biscornu. cant resist myself once again. I stitched it till the wee morning hours..right before I mail out the box. Totally kelam kabut..hehehe















So..there you go...my sunshine family made for Sis Noreen. Pls excuse the workmanship and the color combination. What seems marvelous to my eyes doest not always in sync with others. I didnt mean to over exeggerating myself or to show off by producing one too many items..but as I mentioned earlier..since sunflower is one of my favourites, I enjoyed myself while stitching all these. Even when I cant keep it , I am content just by stitching it for a dear sis whom I regard as relative..sedara mara..if u need to elaborate..ngeh ngeh ngeh....

Pendibule Exchange..A Memoir.

Pendibule Exchange was completed at the end of March. This collage made by Ain is just to refresh the memory of the wonderful projects by my dearly beloved sticher friends..Walaupun kesemuanya mengaku kerastangan , newbie, beginner..but look at the end result...fuyooh...kalau meniaga ni..sure tak dapek org nk beli..masing2 takmo let go..hahaaha..cantik banget...Good job dear friends!! Absolutomente!!

What a bad friend I am. I failed to give credits when credits is due. Gosh..how can I forgot to write about this wonderful Pendibule I received frm my partner in the Yahoo Group Exchange Activity.

Ain gave me these beautifully decorated pendibulle ..full with beads. Plus..its smells like flowers. Along with few skein of DMC floss, buttons n a sample of sewn baby daisy beads pattern. How can I just keep it to myself?? I must let the whole world knows...hahahaha.

Tq Ain...I know it is 'ikhlas' from you..therefore . I accept it with 'keikhlasan too. muahsss

Oh..leganya..

Manage to finish my pendibule exchange and a set of family to a friend..
It seems like I'm taking forever to finish the family..
Yehaa!!Hopes she likes it even though its nothing compare to her quality of stitching. But since I give it with a sincere heart, hope she will accept with sincere heart too.

I spend the weekend finishing the pendibule for the exchange . And surprisingly, I manage to stitch extra..which is..a needle book to make a matching family for Sis Ros,my exchange partner. It was no better than the other set,but since I'm on a giving mode*wink-wink*,I hope she likes it. Frankly, I didnt have enough sleep last night. I stayed up the whole night trying to figure out how to embelish the pendibule with ribbons. Only God knows how on earth I 'dream" on putting ribbons on the pendibule when I know for a fact that I failed to tie my son shoelaces properly...I'm crying inside while trying for the ribbons. My keras tangan hand do not want to co operate. At the end, I choose a simple solution..stitch a store bought ribbon instead. So..morale of the story for me in this pendibule exchange..NO MORE RIBBONS!!..
