Doily utk Cik Noxxa

Ha ha ha..Cik Noxxa bertudung turqoise....Sementara merehatkan badan yg penat packing packing..sempat jugak buat doily utk breadmaker seseorang....Sebenarnya..doily tu utk apa2 saja..tak semestinya breadmaker..memandangkan seseorang itew begitu komited menggunakan Cik Noxxanya dalam baking..teringat pula utk membuatkannya satu doily for her so called 'maid'....LOL

Sebenarnya..me buat pattern yg sama utk 2 benda berbeza...Yang warna putih ( yang pernah ditayangkan sebelum ini ) belum siap sebab besar. Yang turqoise ni aktiviti ringan2 je. Kebetulan pula my partner for the XSnXC Pinkeep Exchange akan menyambut ulang tahun kelahirannya pada penghujung Disember nanti, so..me buatlah 'besday gift awal' untuknya. Sangat yakin , by the time her birthday arrive, I'm still nowhere to be found..LOL..Nak study pattern lain,tak kecukupan masa utk 'test drive', jadi prektis pattern ini sajalah sampai jemu....



Since my partner sudah sms me memberitahu yg dia sudah menerima 'package' pinkeep itew, bolehlah story sikit2 pasal doily tu disini. I'm afraid this will be my last posting for the time being. Sekejap lagi nak dismantle pc and the talian hayat. I'm moving out today.

Buat Kak Ros..terima kasih kerana sudi menerima doily dan pinkeep itu seadanya. Thats the best I can think of to give you on your special day. Pandanglah doily itu jika teringat2 kat me..hope it serves its purpose..taking care of Cik Noxxa while she is busy being abused...LOL

Puding Kuah Kastad ..sudah mali...

Yessza...rasa macam ada konspirasi la pulak..ada 3 org buat puding kuah kastad Mak Enon semalam kan..satu kat JB, dua lagi di Penang..Glamer Mak Enon giteww!!

Mula2 nak buat tu kena geledah dulu kotak2 pinggan mangkuk sebab sekarang ni hanya guna pinggan plastik saja. Pinggan kaca memang dah lama bersemadi dalam kotak. Risau juga kalau2 tak jumpa acuan dan mangkuk sebab puding ni dah memanggil2 semenjak baca entry Lindt kat blog dia.Nasib baik terjumpa sebiji je mangkuk kaca kecil, boleh le enterprem kat sini.

Memang sedap puding ni..Dgn hampir 5 cawan air, puding bergoyang2 raeggae masa letak dlm mangkuk sebelum slurppp melalui tekak...tambahan bila dah sejuk,lagi nyaman masuk tekak...terima kasih buat Lindt yg sudi share resepi bonda.Dapat dalam 16 cawan agar2 . Boleh juga Ustazah tumpang merasa.

Disebabkan hanya ada susu pekat manis TERjumpa dlm gobok dapur masa packing packing, me buat kuah kastadnya (versi kak reen lah kan) tetapi memang kena tuang byk air sebab kalau tidak...manis meleting. But the end result memang tidak mengecewakan...Yummy the very deliciuos I tell you..

Mr. Patrick Tan has done a wonderful job with this beauty. I like it and the price is reasonable..RM25 for a (+-)12 by 9 inch frame. Hopefully Teacher Selvi will like it..Of course she will... coz I like it..LOL

Alhamdulilah...my first crochet masterpiece...
Rasa macam tak percaya...sesuatu yg dahulunya dianggap sangat susah dilakukan dan tak mungkin dilakukan ..Kini didepan mata...sundrik bikin lagik!!

Jika mengikut pattern asal... memerlukan 35 keping sahaja. Malangnya..saiznya masih terlalu kecil for my coffee table. Whoaa....alas meja makan kot??..Kalau alas meja makan...ermmm..benang tukar warna kusam baru siap tu...aiyaiyai..raya tahun depan.....itu pun klu power turbo stabil..

Apapun....rasa macam tak percaya...

Hahaha..d'tembuns on the go!

Its kinda odd seeing my posting of the cooking I have made so often nowadays..LOL . Its like..unbelievable..as I have been known to be lazy for the past years. I only cook when need or better still..mood (grin) arises or when we have guests . On normal days..it will either be 'tapau' or 'eat outside'. Since I'm clearing the stock out of my kitchen 'gobok' ,looks like I'm going to spend more time cooking now..

I have tried many home made receipes of cendawan celup tepung or oyster mushroom tempura. But it's always not to my liking. Until I found this receipe from a friend FP..(from my link..Dapur Mak Lang )It's very crunchy and crispy ...just like keropok..LOL . You will not realize that you are eating mushroom..My son even said that it tastes like chicken. For a boy who consider vegetables as his 'numero uno' enemy , it is a compliment..





Dont pay attention to the colors. It looked like goreng pisang as I have added some curry powder as I dislike the original color and taste.Bancuhan adunannya juga sengaja dicairkan sedikit kerana kononnya nk makan mcm goreng pisang.. But then..rambut sama hitam tapi hati lain2 kan...

Sedap di makan begitu sahaja bersama2 cili sos ataupun cili kicap terutama kalau di goreng garing. Bagi yg mencari alternatif diet tanpa menjamah nasi..tidak digalak makan selalu..berminyak..LOL

D'tembuns enterfrem lagi...

Sebagai meraikan kemenangan selepas selesai berpuasa di bulan Syawal...malam tadi buat Soto...Hahaha..hantam saja..

Kesimpulannya....menjadi ahli kelab d'tembuns sangat bermakna....kuang kuang kuang!!

My Doily Progressed...

My crochet project progressed. Actually...the only project I'm working on at the moment. Syok pulak main kait2 ni..Tidak perlu refer selalu kat chart..LOL

Akhirnya..xs birdhouse berjaya disiapkan. A farewell gift to Ameerul's tuition teacher-Teacher Selvi. Belum sempat hantar frame lagi..akan dihantar secepat mungkin sebelum bulan Disember. Tak sempat nk buat xs yang besar2..yang kecil ini pun memadailah. ...Itupun mengambil masa lebih dari sebulan..A freebies from EMS..

Hopefully she will like it.

Cik Oyen Gumi-gumi....

At last..dah kenyang beraya dan semangat dah kembali sikit2..dan teringatkan pujukan seorang adik manis iteww...here it is..Cik Oyen The Gumi-gumi...Of course lah kena panggil Oyen sebab colornya oyen..

Even before puasa , the owner of one 'finishing parlour' has been asking me to assemble the gumi2. I have no heart to do anything with the gumi2 as 'sudah ada benci' didalam hati...I hate the fact that the hands was so difficult to crochet..Got to give credit to who ever manage to complete the hands and the legs without much fuss.. I for one will not even mention of doing a cat amigurumi anymore.

I only crocheted the head and the torso. The rest of the body part was done by adek manis. Me tersentap maa..Tak reti nak kait tangan dan kaki semua tu...

So..here is Cik Oyen selepas berhari raya. I manage to 'gali' the courage to assemble it. It's not an easy task tho..sakit jari lah nak cantum2 ni...

To add colors to my posting here..Have to drag a sleeping Pinchesska to pose together with Oyen..

Good job Pinchesska....aiyaiyai...pandai posing ehh....LOL.

Projek Radio Rosak.....

Projek terbengkalai yang siap di minggu pertama Ramadhan..Dipanggil projek radio rosak sebab semasa stitching..mulut tak henti2 ngomel macam radio rosak ...LOL. Walaupun patternnya kecil tetapi kekerapan menukar warna benang memang menyusahkan mulutku ini...Tetapi disebabkan warna purple iteww mengguda jiwa..'ku dengar juga radio itew walaupun rosak'..LOL

Pattern ini freebie drp Micheals.. I made it into a needlebook..hahaha..macam tak cukup2 needlebook kan...

Now..I'm thinking into doing some crochet since I received 2 ketul crochet yarn last week. Unfortunately..my practice of double triple treble crochet kantoi ...I cant proceed yet. Rasa2 macam tak proceed sampai hujung tahun...hahaha..adek manis jgn mare..tutorial mcm nk rak last week tak buang karan noo..

I wanted to post the pic of my completed SAL earlier but has to hold back the excitement as I was waiting for my 'kutu frame' to arrive so that it can pose together-gether dengan bergayanya. But..Adek Manis dok sebok tanya bila nk tayang..bila nak tayang..so I'll just tayang dulu lah ..later later will do the touch up lah..LOL

Like I've mentioned before, I'm in a hurry to complete the SAL A.S.A.P as I want to do something else during Ramadhan . I have been doing nothing else except for these SAL day and night until I grumble a lot..macam radio rosak la pulak. It was completed on merdeka day....not merdeka's eve but slightly a few minutes before it become a day after merdeka. And such a historic date will remain on the sampler forever..wink wink..

To all my SALling buddies..I'm sorry if I TERlaju ke hadapan. Jangan rasa tertekan eh..

P/S..While I'm stitching the pink dots, it remind me of the blisters of chicken pox on my son's body. Pity him..to have chicken pox during the merdeka weekend. Yess..Ameerul Iman..Mama dedicate the pink dots to you as rememberance of the agony and pain you have to go thru and the whining Mama has to purak2 dengar..luckily..I have the pink dots to stitch..my mind is elsewhere..LOL

Hello everybody...

Lama juga tak mengupdate blog..Actually ..sedang melawan dan melayan perasaan malas yang berkoyan2 ini....

Jadi..untuk mengisi kebosanan ..I only consentrate pushing to finish my SAL. Tiada mood utk launch new project or even looking at new chart. 'The nenek' dok tang tu saja. My plan to crochet a simple doily also was put on a halt. Even my gumi2 project sangkut juz because I have no will power to 'fight' the kesusahan mengcrochet the small kaki and tangan. As a result ..the gumi2 being send to Musliha's finishing parlour.. Adik Manis..u rock bebeh!! LOL.

I will be back to update my SAL early next month( with pictures okies!!), which is only a few days away anyway..I have finished stitching the 2nd shelf. Backstitch was completed last night. Now I'm doing the hiasan tepi , the wordings and 'fill in the (doilies) blanc' . I have to finish before puasa as I will stop doing all cross stitch once puasa start. NO..its not because of wanting to raya sakan.I have another 'huge' project to take on..LOL. I'll let out the news when I'm comfortable to tell..no worries..its a good thing..LOL..

At the moment..the bad news is..Jiji is sick..Sudah kurus sebab dah 2 hari tak makan dan minum. Badannya panas sampai bahangnya terasa kalau dipegang..sampai terpaksa di sejukkan dgn air batu malam tadi...exactly like nursing a small kid..What to do..I have made a commitment to take care of all my anak2 berbulu until they are out of this world..

SAL August Update

Yess..this is my SAL accomplishment until 1st August 2007..I intend to finish it ASAP..

To all my SAL buddies..I'm sorry..I have to move on ahead as the fabric has turned color from white to ivory. I'm afraid by the time its due to finish in December...it will be dark brown (LOL).
Thank you to my furry stitching companions. They find the fabric is the nicest place to sit on whenever you're not around. They are indeed the best turbo engine for SAL.

Everybody should get at least one cat..they boost 'everything' that need to be boost.You become alert, energetic and what not as you tend to carry the work everywhere...The best stalker too*wink-wink*.

.Jangan Pandang Belakang...

The XsNxc Exchange activity for the month of July is oriental theme bookmark. Well.. since I dont have much of a collection of oriental cross stitch charts, I have to make do with Joan Elliot chart from the book 'Sentiment and Sayings'.(Actually zero oriental charts is the correct phrase, but I dont want to sound so pathetic..LOL)

Stitching it is alright, the finishing is not alright though. Since laces and ribbons has never been my cup of tea...one could guess the hard time I have endure to stitch those. Therefore..the bookmark for my partner Salmi aka Ibu Sara is as simple as it could get..hehehe. That is why ...it is called Jangan Pandang Belakang...its 'pretty' scarry..LOL




But..since it is stitched with blue lace..I guess everything is forgiven then..

And accompanying the blue bookmark is the family of 'gegirl - pink' (pincushion and needle book) and 'boboy- blue' (Scissors fob and book mark). Oriental is such a difficult theme to carry as the colors seldom match your liking and the sizes too. All the pattern came from the same JE book except the scissors fob..it was a design by Sue Page (a freebie from cross stitching.com) Hopefully Salmi dont mind with the 'sana sikit sini sikit' pattern eh..LOL

Since it is the last exchange activity until after Hari Raya..I will be resting from stitching "the family". and probably resting from stitching too. The mood has gone for vacation..LOL.

My BookMark Exchange (BME) Arrived...Yeeehaaa!!

The red card from the post office arrived on Monday. It havent occured to me that it is from my partner from The Xsnxc BookMark Exchange since everybody was saying that they have just posted theirs. It couldnt have reached me so soon. But..yeapp..Pos Malaysia really surprised people sometimes..this time they really are 'cemerlang'.

Ok..lets look at the cronology of the opening ceremony and the screening ceremony..(LOL..I'm watching too many lawyers and CSI drama)

My surprise partner is Dania ( the mommy of Bebe D ). And I was really surprise to receive the bookmark from her. I loved everything there is..the pattern, the buttons , the fabric and definitely the pink box...(handmade by her of course). My crochet kit is not homeless anymore.

Granny Square..

I didnt do any stitching during the weekend. My eyes are tired after the 5 Flowers...I believed I out do Maya Karin's Pontianak Eyes when stitching the 5 Flowers. Therefore..will not do any linen for a while..hahahaha...do you believe me??








So.. I turned my attention to crochet..With video from YouTube I manage to learn how to crochet a granny square. What you are looking is the result of my bundle of practise to 'lembutkan' the hands..It is not a doily..I just crochet and crochet to my hands liking.. I will probably stop once I have finished the whole yarn ..hehehe

My 5 Flowers ...

Tadaaa.........after 4 days..manage to complete the 5 flowers...Yeah..with many alterations of the floss color code. (What to do...Dmc Variations is more expensive than Anchor Multicolor..LOL). but it turn out alright and my eyes turn out multicolor too...what an experience!!

Havent figured out about the finishing but my stitching buddies voted for it to be framed..It is my first linen masterpiece after all..they just want to see it framed..Well..let me think about it. I'm in no hurry either...

The First On linen

Yuppp..you read it right..
My first attempt stitching on linen.... I have known cross stitch for almost 20 years (with the up and down time of course!..but most of it ..down)) but I have never tried my hands on linen or evenweave. It is Aida all the time..up untill now..I'm still in good terms with Aida. Off late, I was inspired to stitch on linen/evenweave after seeing my stitching buddies especially Yasmin and Kak Ros using linen so often.. The perasaan of TER sudah membuak2..LOL




A pattern of 5 Flowers has inspired me to start my linen project. It was from the mag Just Cross Stitch. Design by Elizabeth Foster of Elizabeth Designs..The fabric was a gift from my MDSE partner, Azie (thank you Azie..muahss) And the experience of stitching these few rows is nerve wrecking..LOL


I have promised myself not to buy any cross stitch related item this month. But this pattern requires to use DMC Variation, which unfortunately I did not have . I only have Anchor Multicolor set. Well..for those who knows my stitching habit of mix and match..a little bit of these and a little bit of that..this small hindrance will not stop me...Life will definitely goes on..LOL

That pic was my second day performance progress..so very slow..and so very pening kepala...I will keep the progress posted here..Until then..c ya!

XsNXc Cube Exchange June 2007

The Exchange was completed end of June 2007. I would like to appologize to my partner Mas Ayu frm Melaka as I did not post anything in here regarding the cube I made for her. I totally forgot to snap any pic as I was rushing to send it as my darling Mr Postman will be out station during that time. Maaf ye Mas..bukan akak sengajakan..memang betul2 lupa.
so..strawberry indeed grows in Malacca eh?

TaliAir dari Penang ke Jb...

I was taken with the gumi2 (amigurumi) when Musliha showed me the picture and the how to tutorial. Since I was not in the mood to do any stitching last week...I went out and buy my first ever crochet kit..apa lagi..the jarum and the benang. Just for the cheering up purpose..I bought the red color Minlon thread..hahaha..lepas tu meraung sendirian bila sakit mata nak tngk taliair..then only , after reading the basic for crochet..tidak digalakkan menggunakan benang berwarna gelap sebegini utk fasa basic...Duhhh..awat tak habaq ?...




And then , during the weekend, seorang adik manis telah men'sponsor' sebatang jarum dan sebuku benang crochet utk dibuat taliair. Katanya..sebuku benang tu dibuat taliair sbg prektis melembutkan tangan. Maka bermulalah episod membina taliair dgn jarak nya sepanjang laluan hiway dari Penang ke JB.

Next step is..learning single crochet..waiyaa..look at all the trouble I have to go thru to learn how to do Cik Gumi2. Aja2 fighting...Now have to 'patah balik' frm JB to Penang for these single crochet.

After showing these pic to adik manis..all she said was..Ermm..cayalah..sudah boleh buat Cik Gumi2. All I have to do now is find the courage that has been taking a break along the whole journey..ekeke. I haven't fallen in love with crochet yet...We are in the process of knowing each other (pinjam ayat Erra Fazira kejap..ekekeke)..LOL.

Its A Rainbow..

I am a total failure at finishing with ribbons and lace. In order to get over the phobia..I challenged myself by making another pendibule. Yeahh..believe me..I bang my head several times while looking for a pattern that will not get me in trouble later. Anyway....so that I can be on the safe side if mishap happens..I choose these rainbow border motifs..its a freebie but I forget from where I downloaded it.. I'll put it here once Ive checked my files..

Stitching these was easy but figuring how to do the finishing is crazy. To avoid using any ribbons or any other 'feminine' touch to these. I opted for stitching a soft store bought cording all around the pendibule. That was kind of easy too as I can still sew it while lying down on the bed..LOL. But..problem arises on how to tie the cording stylishly. After several failed attempts, I have to turn to DH to use his creativity with his boy scout's knots. Don't ask me what the knots is called or how he tied it. I didnt bother for the details as I only want it over with...but Musliha said the knot is stylishly different and very 'manly'. I guessed I'll take that as a thumbs up. Thank you Darling Husband..now I trully cherished the hands that I so loved to call 'kayu'..LOL.Its not so bad looking pendibule after all..isn't it??
